Ugly Drums is a producer from Cologne and follows up his Quite Frankful 12" on Quintessentials with an EP for Black Key Records. The label offers the first release of their Black Key Limited series to Ugly Drums, after already dispatching music by Andy Ash, Chamboche, Flori and Milton Jackson. Rolling synths that repeat on themselves like someone standing up and falling over make for a gentle and relaxed tumble in "Saturn Memories", while the bassline in "2After11" mirrors the tracks loopy chord progression, powered down by smacking snares and celery-crunching claps.
